Level The Playing Field webinar
Sport and physical activity can help build stronger communities by bringing people together. Our towns and cities embrace people of different backgrounds allowing all to engage and interact by taking part in a range of different activities.
Today our communities face new daily challenges. Some stem from a lack of strong leadership and role models, education and employment opportunities, poor health, living conditions, access to facilities, racism, cultural differences, and crime.
To tackle these problems, firstly the problems need to be understood. Conversations need to take place to allow everyone across the community to understand why the issue exists and then devise cohesive development programmes that work to build confidence, resilience, self-esteem and happiness. For far too long we have worked around the edges without getting to the heart of these issues.
This webinar will seek to uncover some of the complications we face in our day to day lives. Our contributors will discuss where we are today and what can be done in the future to bridge the social and economic gap.
COVID-19 has made us acutely aware of the importance of community spirit and engagement. Across the country we have found ourselves closer to our neighbours, helping one another to get through. We now need to seize this opportunity to ensure that the human spirit remains strong, our thoughts shared, and considered, our plans actioned.
This important free to access webinar will take place on the 30th of June 2020 at 11:00 am.
As all of our webinars encourage interaction, you will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout and take part in our Q&A sessions. Click here to register.
